Discussion for TW, with any news about maps, or mods for TW, and any problems you may have

TW seems to handle quite a bit. I have completely converted the first 7 of 9 OSS maps, I should have this done by this weekend maybe sooner we will see what happens. GI - could you pull up a test map and see if you can determine what combination works for creating a pitch-black sky? I am talking black as black, this is how OSS Mission 2 is in the original LOSV version. Thanks in advance for your help on this. The only "problem" I have is that OSS Mission 2 was originally a pitch black night map. So far I am unable to replicate that pitch black of the LOSV version, I even found my old notes on using Kuma War mission 50 as a reference for night maps but that did not achieve it.

I was checking out skies yesterday for a map and i came accross a pitch black sky. I will try to find it again. I think it was in a kuma map, will let you know. I have noticed that when you convert maps to TW they come out lighter than the original.

Andy thanks for the good words on the conversion. I think OSS for LOSV has held up to the test of time and always will. It is a like an official mission pack for the games, very well crafted and I know you put a lot of effort and time into it. I know some of us are excited to be able to play it on TW. This could be considered a 5-Year anniversary celebration, I think OSS was released in April 2005. I am satisfied with the enemy models, they are far from being dead-ringers for the original ones but they seem unique enough. Kept the original voice files. GI tried to contact Wolff to see if he could replicate the original skins but he is hard to find these days.

Hey, you guys are welcome. I know how hard it must have been for you guys to get the mod to this point. Well done. I know at one time, Wolff, Dyre Straits and myself did a mod called Siberian Tiger it was all arctic warfare. Dyre did some great video work on it, Wolff did his usual amazing skins and I did the rest. Can't remember how many missions it had but it used my first custom models..a T72 tank, Missle launcher and a soviet sub I believe. If you guys can find it, use it. It had some great assets. It was for LOSV also. I haven't seen it around for sometime though. It was just before I did OSS.
